Michael Wolf – Vineyard Manager

Michael Wolf was first exposed to agriculture after moving to California’s Mendocino County in 1972, where he helped a friend on his family farm raising pears, prunes and grapes. After spending nearly ten years in Mendocino, including four years working for Mendocino Vineyards Company, his love of vineyard management took Michael to the Napa Valley.

Over the next 16 years, Michael gained experience in every aspect of vineyard development and production working for a large agricultural development in Pope Valley and later for Beckstoffer Vineyards.

In 1997, Michael Wolf Vineyard Services was founded, which provides a full range of vineyard management services. With over 30 clients, including independent growers and wineries, Michael manages over 850 acres of vineyards. Michael currently works with some of the best known vineyards in the Napa Valley including: Bond, Duckhorn, D.R. Stephens Estate, Harlan Estate, Lewis Cellars, Meteor Vineyards, Scarecrow, and Vineyard 29.

With these vineyards, he has the opportunity to work with some of the top winemakers in Napa Valley including Celia Welch, Philippe Melka, Bob Levy and Andy Erickson.
